The Arts Society Blackheath

Established more than 40 years ago, it is the local branch of the Arts Society, a leading educational charity for the arts. Members enjoy 10 talks each year by acclaimed experts, the Society’s quarterly magazine, its own monthly newsletter and occasional walk and visits. The Society’s meets at 2.30pm on the fourth Thursday of the month, except August and December, at St Mary’s Church Hall, Cresswell Park, Blackheath SE3 9RD. Non-members are welcome to attend at £8 a lecture per lecture – no need to book.

Westcombe Society

The Westcombe Society is an independent amenity group aiming to foster community spirit and protect the character of its neighbourhood. The area covered by the Society lies between Maze Hill (Greenwich Park) to the west and the A102 Blackwall Tunnel Southern Approach to the east, and between Vanbrugh Park/Charlton Road (Blackheath Common) to the south and the Greenwich-Dartford branch of the South-Eastern railway line to the north.
